A2J Crew Spotlight Performance Program
Each season, our teachers hand select students that they have monitored all season to invite to be a part of a spotlight team/program for the following season. These students are awarded a personalized letter that addresses their talents and our desire to have them join us for placement on next year's spotlight performance team.
This program is designed for dancers who are not currently a member of our competition dance team but would benefit from a class with students who have a similar skill set. Our “SPOTLIGHT” program is designed for students that display strong leadership ability, who are attentive in class, and have an insatiable desire to learn. We feel these dancers are capable of working at a faster pace than what we are able to accomplish in a typical recreational class. We understand that competition teams require more of a commitment and aren’t right for everyone. Therefore, we have chosen to offer an alternative for our dance families.
When a dancer has been selected based on their classroom performance, their weekly attendance, their willingness to comply with our dress code, and their undeniable talent, our goal becomes to provide a learning environment for these dancers to thrive in and challenge them to do more! These students are afforded the opportunity to perform with our competition teams in local shows to gain performance experience and to showcase their talent. They are given the opportunity to to attend local dance competitions in Zanesville the Spring of the season that they are in.
Our “SPOTLIGHT” dancers are placed on a team with other outstanding, hand selected dancers that we feel are on a similar skill level. They are required to enroll in our Summer Intensive Dance Camp (this is the same camp our competition dancers attend) if they choose to make this committment, although it is never a required program for any student, simply an alternative, growth opportunity. Dancers will also need to enroll in one additional class for the 2023-24 dance season. (See below for details).
SPOTLIGHT dance tuition is still recreational class prices for the two required classes (technique and their weekly spotlight class).
What will be required?
He/she will be required to take an additional technique class in accordance with the one they are chosen for.
Additional Information:
We are thrilled to offer all students the opportunity to work for a spot on our SPOTLIGHT Program beginning from the opening day of the season/classes!
