Tap dance is a style of dance that is characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. The sound is made by the shoes, which have a metal "tap" on the heel and toe of each shoe. There are several forms of tap dance such as rhythm, classical, Broadway, and post-modern. The goal of this genre is to create rhythmic sounds.
